This short-run series aired from 1944 to 1945 featured Hollywood star Victor Jory each week as the romantic lead in such historical adaptations as: The Shadow of the Raven (Edgar Allen Poe) and Bothwell of Scotland (Mary Queen of Scots). These are tales of adventure, mystery, suspense, but above all else they feature tales of love and romance. The program started in 1944 as Dangerously Yours, but then changed its name to Matinee Theater in 1945.
