Lost Jungle part 2 of 2
Clyde Beatty, animal trainer extraordinaire, sets off in a dirigible to find his love, Ruth, who's been shipwrecked on an uncharted island. Clyde's dirigible crashes into the jungles of the island. When he locates Ruth, he learns that her father has disappeared. The ensuing search is hindered by greedy gold hunters and wild animals. A semi-sequel to this serial, Darkest Africa, was released by Republic Pictures in 1936.
In an unusual move, a feature film version was made simultaneously with the serial by re-filming several principal scenes with different dialog, and several other principal scenes altogether new, particularly the ending, thereby creating an essentially new and different story.
